Book Interior Design

A beautifully designed and formatted book is a work of art!

Ease of reading, consistent formatting, headlines that stand out from the body, an appealing body typeface that guide a reader’s eyes through the words, and creativity are the tools a book designer works with to achieve a look you will be proud of.

Not only should the interior of your book be consistently formatted across words, lines, paragraphs, individual pages, and chapters, but more than that, careful attention must be paid to each detail of the design.

The interior should form a consistent image with your book cover design, so the entire book has the same look and feel throughout.

While some book designers may not take the time to read your manuscript, I know I can’t hope to produce a book that captures your vision without understanding the words that make YOUR book unique.  So, I need time to read it and get to know it before I start to design.

Part of my service is to suggest better ways to arrange your information for maximum space utilization and readability.  It is quite possible that when typeset and properly formatted, your text may be significantly shorter than it looked in word processor format, and I will work with you to be sure that the final length is sufficient to give your book the shelf presence it needs to attract buyers.
